As opposed to the complete bum he has for a backup currently?

But if he hates Columbus and/or Torts that much, I'm sure if a team on his list came to him he'd consider waiving.

Wait some confusion here.
Mike Smith has an 8 team NTC.
Bobrovsky has a full NTC.

But we don’t know anything about BSD’s durability as a starter. And he has already missed time recently due to injury. I would be in favour of any measure that prevents Smith from being on the ice during games.

To clarify - Smith has a limited NTC. So he can be demoted. If Columbus even wanted him as a warm body then you'd need to see his list.
Bob has an NTC. Likely he'd waive it now. Especially if he thinks a huge new contract with the acquiring team is in the offing.

I'd rather go to a museum with Dougie than see the Flames trade for & sign Bobrovsky. Let another team make that colossal mistake.

I don't want a player that is being scratched due to causing internal problems. That is a chemistry killer.

Apparently something happened at the rink or on the bus ride to the airport as the Blue Jackets were leaving Tampa.
https://theathletic.com/760270/2019/...-in-tampa-bay/
Quote:
Sources told The Athletic that the incident happened sometime between the latter stages of Tuesday’s 4-0 loss in Tampa Bay and before the team flew home from Tampa International Airport an hour or so after the game.
Before the Blue Jackets boarded their charter flight to Columbus, Bobrovsky was pulled aside for a meeting on the tarmac with members of the Blue Jackets’ leadership group, suggesting the incident happened at the rink or on the bus ride from the rink to the airport.
Blue Jackets players all complied with strict orders from management not to discuss the Bobrovsky situation when the dressing room opened after Thursday’s morning skate.

This is the first time I've heard of Bobrovsky causing problems on a team, and I don't think its a coincidence when this occurs its with John Tortorella of all people.
Edit - and now I see above me it may have been with other players

This is totally unsubstantiated, but:
https://twitter.com/cournoyer21/stat...643152384?s=12
“Vladimir Tarasenko and Jake Allen have been traded from St Louis to Columbus for Sergei Bobrovsky, Nick Foligno and a 2020 1st rounder per ESPN.”

I think the other players were delivering the message of the benching.

Yeah LeBrun also said in a radio hit earlier today that one of his sources told him this isn't a Tortorella vs Bobrovsky issue.

Glad to see Torts is going to the Dougie Hamilton school of media PR:

It's Dave's net now, but Bob would probably be the best insurance policy out there. Not sure it's worth the price.

Bryz isn't crazy, he's awesome. The world needs more Bryz with a microphone.
