Sherritt is very good but undersized so the hits have taken their toll.

He played at a pretty high level last season so kind of surprising but knowing these guys don't get paid that great I can't fault him for moving on to a career that's easier on his body.

Last year wasn’t even his best. One season (rookie or second season) he set a league record for tackles. It’s since been broken by someone else.

TORONTO — Jerry Glanville is intrigued by the prospect of coaching the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Riders are in need of a head coach, defensive co-ordinator, general manager and vice-president of football operations after Chris Jones resigned Tuesday to join the Cleveland Browns' coaching staff.

Glanville, who spent 2018 as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats' defensive co-ordinator but left at season's end for personal reasons, told The Canadian Press on Wednesday he's not spoken with Saskatchewan officials about the vacancies but would definitely listen if they called.

"Nobody has called me," Glanville said via telephone from Knoxville, Tenn.

Tempting to do a ATL

Reactions from Riderville ranges from "I dont blame him for NFL paychecks" to "I hate you Chris Jones!!"

The timing of this has hurt the organization as they're scrambling to fill holes in their team and especially the QB position. Instead of doing this, they're now trying to fill the DC, HC, GM and VP positions

I especially like this gem on RF:

Quote:
I hope O'Day takes over, and taps Lapo as HC.

Also... FU Chris Jones.

Your legacy is leaving us with no option at QB, no QB developed over your 3-year tenure, a 1-2 playoff record, a 27-25 regular season record. Your final game in Green & White was an embarrassment that exposed your sham of an offence for what it really was. Your acclaimed final season was a mirage built on three bone-headed plays committed by Mike Reilly and Matt Nichols, that transformed three close loses into incomprehensible wins.

With no answer at QB, and a defence unlikely to score at last season's pace, you knew the team you built was heading for the crapper - and you bailed before that stink got stuck to you. You are an opportunist without a plan. To call you 'Moderately Successful' would be too high praise. You've accomplished nothing that will be remembered as worthwhile in the long storied history of our franchise.

Good riddance. Cleveland deserves you, and we deserve better.

Durant is not who he once was and his time in Montreal showed. Despite the disapproval of most rider fans, Chris Jones made the right call in letting him go.

With all that said....I hope they sign Durant

Don't worry I've been taking a lot of indoor reps with my boy this winter. If Mitchell and Reilly both go to the NFL I think I may have a chance at making a roster. In a year that the marquee QB matchup could be Harris vs Nichols I have to think teams will be pretty desperate for anyone that can spin the ball.

Excuse me? Are they talking about the same "storied franchise" that has, in over 100 years, won 3 Cups? In a league with 8 or 9 teams?

I suppose it is a story... a comedy of sorts, or a tragedy.

Jones was the perfect jacka** to run that franchise. Arrogant with very little to justify it other than a few flukes and riding other's coattails... just like the fans. Overly full of himself, but not particularly smart. Always thinking he (they) are the smartest person in the room and are deserving of everything despite a long history of complete and utter failure.

Jones will be missed as the Priders will potentially now actually get someone who knows what they are doing.

I liked Jones when he was with my team. He was a jacka$$ but he was our jacka$$. Now I’m glad he’s out of the league.

The Riders deserve a guy like Eric Tillman, he would be a good fit. classy guy for a classy fanbase

Least I heard is that he had done a pretty heavy work out tour. QB's and the NFL are a bit weird because I think most teams wait until after the draft to really see what they need heading into camp. It also might come down to bonus money that Bo is looking for.

Last team that I head him working out with was Denver.

With the XFL announcing its QB salary and their desire to find 8 starters it might cloud the issue a bit.
