I think it’s a foregone conclusion that ohio state is in. No way a 2 loss USC gets in over a 1 loss OSU.

A multi score loss from TCU could cause them problems. The committee is looking for excuses to exclude them.

How did Utah lose 3 games? They are physically so dominant.

This game should put Michigan on notice not to overlook Purdue tomorrow

its a foregone conclusion now with a beatdown.
the argument on a 2 loss USC team getting in would have been having to play one more game than OSU in a conference championship game, and that if the season ended last week USC was considered to be better.
USC's beatdown negates OSU's beatdown by Michigan.

And Michigan is better than Utah so losing big to them is more forgivable (despite the loss being at home).

OMG this PBP guy is beyond awful.
'a whole nation of teams cheering on Utah'
'the CFP is in chaos!'
'tons of teams are watching with interest tonight'
'the top 10 is in for a huge shakeup'
No you jackass, 1 team will move down 3 spots and a couple teams will move up 1 spot each (or something like that). This is the least surprising and least disruptive loss amongst all the championship weekend matchups.

TCU is going to have a battle with KSU possibly.
Michigan should roll Purdue, but I think there was a crazy stat on how Purdue has won their last 3 games versus top 5 teams... so Brohm is going to be using every trick in the book.
should be fascinating to watch

I don't even think a loss knocks out Michigan. Ohio can't jump them with the same amount of losses but the loss was a home drubbing to Michigan. And Alabama has two losses. Can't see them being jumped by 2 teams with a loss.

This game is exactly why as a Sooner fan I wasn't to extremely angry at the fact Riley left. (I was angry but just at the way he left. (Took incredible players/recruits and it was clear he mailed in the 2021 season). Rileys team's are mentally weak and can not win big games. I hope USC is prepared for this because this is what you get.
Riley is an incredible offensive mind but his teams can never put it all together. They basically need to score 50 pts to win games. They jump out to leads and can't hold them. When they are faced with adversity they usually fold up shop.
As Sooner coach Riley was saved by incredible QB play. Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, and Caleb Williams. As bad as OU was this year after their cupboard was raided they would have likely been a 10-2 team with a talent like Caleb Williams at QB.
None the less I am ecstatic the real Coach Riley showed up tonight.

Let's say Georgia, Michigan and Ohio State are in. If TCU loses is it Alabama? There's never been a two loss non-winner in the playoff. Is it ACC champ Clemson? Is it 3 loss SEC championship LSU?

It would require TCU losing in a beatdown imo. Even if they lose, its hard to see 2 loss Bama jumping TCU.
Basing on SOS, I believe that TCU has the better overall resume of wins over top 25 teams.
The good thing about the 12 team playoffs is that the conference championship does become more important with a AQ for all the conference champions.

Alabama is definitely in if TCU loses. SEC bias + perception TCU would be 2 TD underdog versus Georgia or Michgan will do the trick. And based off this current TCU performance, 2 TDs would be generous.

It would be fairly surprising if a 2 loss bama gets in at all. Ohio already sneaking in due to USC’s ineptitude. Wonder if the playoff committee decides to do the Michigan Ohio state rematch for a semifinal or not

2 loss Bama who's best win is a 1 pt win against Texas is not jumping a 1 loss Ohio St who's best win is against Penn St or if TCU loses today (as long as it's close)

Too good for TV to have Georgia-Bama and Michigan-Ohio State. ESPN will demand it. TCU not looking even remotely convincing right now.

As much as I hate to think it I can see that happening, There is such as SEC bias.
That would be horrible for college football if it happened, the entire playoff would be a regional affair. The TV angle is interesting, it probably generates a huge amount of regional interest but I wonder what the affect is on national viewership. I know my interest would certainly drop.
TCU, get your crap together!!
