This signing feels like the last roster move to me. With this one I don't feel like tre is looking for any more trades.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Backlund-Mangiapane
Dube-Bennett-Leivo
Lucic-Ryan-Simon
Nordstrom/gawdin

Hanifin-Andersson
Valimaki-tanev
Gio-Nesterov
Mackey/yelesin

Markstrom
Rittich

Really like this configuration. Kind of hinges on Bennett taking a step this season... if not, maybe Dube could play C on that line.... all of a sudden we are looking fairly deep at fwd.

Biggest thing is the addition of solid 2 way players and less passengers. This team should be exciting to watch. The top line needs to be more engaged this season and actually lead the team. Need a bit more from Gaudreau & Monahan. Gaudreau needs a serious trainer to help him bulk up and get into prime shape.

Liking what I a see so far especially the additions on the back end!!

Maybe NHL rosters will be allowed extra players this season? Makes some sense.

Where will the Heat play?

Im wondering if Canadian teams dont all house their AHL group in their home cities this season, and set up a schedule where they travel together and play in the oppositions city against that teams AHL squad at the the same time. I honestly believe they will be doing game "sets" this year. It will save on travel and wear and tear on players.

I dont know....there are just limited ways of doing things where players wouldnt have to quarantine to join a team after a call up (if having to cross the border). Keeping them in Canada would be one.

Of course none of this happens without fans being able to attend so it could all be moot.

He definitely seems to have a sneaky good shot down the wing on the rush.

Just make sure Phillips gets a good look in the top 9. I think he’d look great with Bennett and Dube.

So maybe playing him with 13 and 23 is the thing to try because they do most of their damage on the rush.

Then the trickle down makes each subsequent line stronger.

Lindholm plays with Backs, Bread plays with Dube.

Looks good to me. Anything that makes Canucks fans grumpy.

Maybe, but we’ll never know unless he gets a shot. He has the wheels and will apart from his skill.

I think we see another forward get signed, and Tre is for sure looking for a home for Ryan or Lucic for cap reasons, but this is probably pretty close to what we see to start the season.

Exactly. Without fans, AHL hockey likely doesn’t happen anywhere. Can’t see any NHL team willing to make that kind of financial investment. I feel for those players and others whose livelihood depends on playing.
