The ladder would be cool if it was in a park, instead of in the middle of Kingsway. That would make liability a bigger issue though.
The problem it has is that the fence around it is really ugly (I think it's made of temporary fencing and has some caution tape on it). And if you're not driving a convertible, you only really get a good look at the bottom, whereas it's looking up at its height that would be cool.

I really think these international artists just google calgary and go, ok these guys like nature, chinook arches, moose, birds, salmon. Hockey, cowboy stuff and indian stuff. Wait...first nation? What the...

That was an orange fish face made out of books? Looked like tiles and we couldn't decipher what it was supposed to be. Didn't get up close to see if it was actually book bindings. Will check again next time I'm there.

One of the coolest piece Calgary has had, The Device to Root Out Evil, is coming back to Calgary on a free loan from the foundation that owns it.

Now, do we point it at Victoria, Burnaby, or Ottawa?

Anyone else think the new art installations along the river walk/east village pathway areas are terrible, best case? Not sure who thought a creepy AF monster under the bridge vibe was appropriate for that area, but #### is it unwelcoming and hideous.

They are nightmare fuel, all of them. Only getting worse as it gets darker and darker in the early morning on my bike commute.

I really like them and I look at them out my window every day, at first it was jarring, but I think they're beautiful now.

I saw that too. I'd have a month long headache if I did that to my mop.
