Play a system that isn't right out of Brent Sutter's get puck deeps and cycle playbook.

Or he’s not playing within Gio who covered up all his worts. He’s a forever minus player without a true #1 Dman next to him. Beyond bad defensively, it’s not a side issue either. He’s just not good in his own zone and it’s gotten progressively worse. He’s 27, this is TJ Brodie

Do you think it was a clean hit? It looks like he left his feet to hit Brodie, but I'm not sure.

Yeah it's hard to say. Looks like he may have left his feet but it happened fast.

Looks a lot like the hit he laid on Parise a few years back. Sucks but sometimes you get rocked.

A new coach won't solve all the problems but he will help as long as Treliving doesn't make the same mistake of downgrading. Like I said in the Gulutzan replacement thread, I don't see any roster moves making a difference if they bring him back.

The headline of this thread should be the NHL not taking concussions seriously by allowing that hit..which also completely turned the game
A complete and utter joke that Reaves gets away with that

Brodie career with Kris Russell +5
Brodie career with Dougie Hamilton +3
Brodie career with Mike Stone +2

Again, I would like to see how he does under a new coach before giving up on him. I think Gulutzan has misused him and his confidence is completely shot which has lead to his poor play.

I expected the refs to call it charging.
Just within that gif he takes two full strides, and considering the speed Reaves comes into the frame with, he easily had another 2-3 powerful strides to make that hit.
Brodie should have been looking to take some contact there, but Reaves took a run at him.

Nothing. And things unraveled shortly after.
Not an excuse for the team not responding to adversity but it should have been a Flames PP instead moments later it was a 4-3 and the game was over soon thereafter
More to the point, a hit like that has ZERO place in the games. A player like Reaves has ZERO place in the game.

Why he is walking either way. No benefit to the organization to calling him up. Would rather get a look at one of the other kids.

Wotherspoon is injured anyways.
Was not in the lineup last night for the first time this season.
