Francis says stop panicking, and the coach is going no where any time soon. I expect he is right on the last part.

tell glen that his contract has been migrated over to the phoenix payroll system (same one that is used by the federal government) and then he will stop getting paid. I'd have to think eventually he would quit coming down to the dome.

Focus on all the warts, point lots of fingers and worry endlessly about the future, if you choose.

But try to take solace in the fact Calgary still has a team.

For now, anyway.

Taking that for granted would be a fan’s biggest mistake.
That's just ridiculous. "Our team is playing terribly lately, what can we do to fix it?", oh don't worry atleast we have NHL team. Seriously?

Office Space him.

Keep moving Gulutzan's desk further and further back. Then take his stapler. Then eventually he breaks, sets the Saddledome on fire and leaves.

Coach gone, and a new building has to be built. Win/win.

i suppose when the game's best player tells his GM or better yet - the team's owner who he is best friends with - its time for a coaching change - it happens - and then he (Crosby) makes sure it pays off.

Don't see anyone in this lineup with that sort of clout.

No kidding. It's pretty obvious Francis isn't plugged in and if anything him saying Gulutzan is not going to be fired could be the kiss of death. I just wished I didn't read that article as it's typical Francis talking down to the readers like they are idiots. Never mind the Flames or Gulutzan, the biggest question is how this guy still remains employed in any sort of capacity in regards to Calgary sports media.

I predict the next Head Coach of the Calgary Flames is Tim Hunter. I think you give his am experienced staff, including a veteran Head Coach to fill the role of Associate Coach.

I agree with you but consider who employs him. The format is pretty much the same throughout the Sun. It's writing at a grade 3 level and the level of analysis rarely elevates beyond that level. Only one paragraph in that article has more than one sentence.

To paraphrase Otto van Bismarck, Never believe anything... until it has been officially denied.

So this is good news

Sure he would say that because Francis is not Flames fan.

No, I think Eric went to the school of 'I can write what I want because my mom will rubber stamp it.'

Its like a school where the Principal's kid gets the best grades or the sports team where the coach's kid is the best player.

Some boring might do this team good. Especially on the back end.
