@ Furnaceface and Calgaryboy
That one video panning the locker room with Petr giving the thumbs up reminded me a little too much of Borat.
Great success!!!

Not exactly. DoubleJ_23 is a friend of BC-Chris and was coming for the game on Sunday. He brought the box of stuff from Chris. He was an unofficial courier, but it was still just as awesome if not more so.

Agreed! That was all Tonya from The Flames doing. Due to the number of media and other stuff going on they only allowed Petr down there.

Really cool stuff guys. All of you, in this thread. This is what CP is all about.

FF explained it. Yeah, and he stuck around for some food and shenanigans! Thanks DoubleJ!

Random CPers made it happen.

I haven't had a chance to come on here and post since getting home. I've been wanting to thank Aeneas for opening his home up to everyone. It was a great time and I know Jaxon enjoyed mini hockey with the other kids.
calgaryboy (Petr) it was cool to meet a passionate flames fan from across the world and you deserve all you're getting with your loyalty and passion for the team.
To all the other CP members there, it was nice to put faces to names and hopefully it's not the last get together.
bc-chris thanks for the travel jerky it didn't make it to Calgary and it was probably a good idea to separate it from the rest of the packages.

Sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks again to Aeneas for hosting such a great party. Ridiculous spread, could have fed another 20 people! bc-chris, that jerky tho.
It was great to meet some posters and put some faces to names.
Petr, pleasure to meet you and to chat with you, your passion for the flames is incredible. Makes me feel like a tier 2 fan!
Looks like you've had an amazing week in spite of the on ice performance. It's alright though, this whole thread shows why hockey is bigger then just the game.
Petr wants to see Calgary in the spring/summer. Czech Trek 4 will be for the SCF... so see you next June!

Meant to post these on the weekend, but figured we could all use this today. Here are some pics of our awesome press box tour Beasley gave us. Thanks to Csnarpy for making it happen.
Warning, lots of pics.
As someone afraid of heights, I wasn't sure about wandering across the catwalks way the hell up there.
First stop was to see Willy Joosen. As a Jazz musician, he's exactly as you expect, a pretty cool cat. He had some Czech recordings he played for Petr.
Next we went up and into the NHL stats guys area and then out across the catwalks to the other side of the arena. These next two shots Petr took. When I told Beas I wasn't good with heights he said "follow me, just look at my back, and don't look down." I did as he said and made it...though I was quite happy to get to the other side. The payoff was Cassie!
Given the talk in the Dallas game last night of the emergency backup getting suited up I thought I'd include this.
Petr taking Wills' job.
Steve, Beasley's director showing us the script and explaining how the production is run. Once they found out Petr was a radio guy they went into great detail. It was really interesting.
Again, Thanks to Bealsey and The Flames for the great tour. Dougie even got in a photobomb.

BUMP.
Reminder this is CB's last game in Calgary. For those going make you give him a visit and congrats to Rinkrat, Puppet Guy, and Scorpion who are going with him.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this fun event and for being a bright spot in a bit of a dark time. There are a ton of people on here who committed to getting CB here and then making sure the trip was extra special. Each time he comes things get bigger, better, and crazier. I'm not going to name everyone as I'm sure to miss people but every contribution added up.
This shows what CP is made of. We might debate, name call, disagree, etc but when it comes to the important things we're generally united. Events like this, or the significant work members did helping members during the flood, or supporting various other good causes is a testament to this crazy community of fans.
White hats for all of CP, you've done yourself proud.

This is a little off topic, but it's always weird to see a picture of someone where the only thing you know about is their voice. That is not what I expected Beasley to look like at all haha.

I think Beasley used to have long hair when he worked as a DJ at CJAY 92. What did you think he looked like?.
