Wait, we were ranked 30th last week when we were on a 4 game win streak?

What phones do you have? I used to love the app, but now it’s laid out poorly, and the standings don’t even fit the width of the screen - I have to scroll sideways to see the points column.

Frankly, I’ve been thinking to ask if anyone knows of an app that’s like the score app used to be.

The Score's power rankings next week:

1st - Edmonton Oilers (Previously 10th) - The Oilers have not lost a game in 5 days
29th - Calgary Flames (Previously 22nd) - The Flames have not won a game in 5 days

Agree it's a great sports update app but their rankings are pure idiotic when it comes to the Flames compared to the basement dwelling Greasers.

I agree with the posters talking about this being click bait, but you would have to think that the Score are running a pretty big risk of it backfiring pretty heavily when people start looking at them as clowns. I'm following their newsfeed as I think they are usually pretty good at delivering relevant content on time and in short form, but I feel that this kind of ridiculous crap is very detrimental for them in the long run, even if they've obviously garnered a whole lot of clicks in a day.

The Score are only after click bait. And they’ll get it, but not from me. App deleted.

Everyone seems to love it but I find The Score app to not be any better than the NHL's official app. I use the NHL and MLB app almost exclusively. I downloaded The Score because it gets such great reviews and I only really use it for the NFL.

It's great to follow all the sports you like in one place.

Leafs ranked 4th? haha okay.

I have lost faith in all power rankings.

the author of this power ranking should be censured by the international power ranking society

I wish we were rated dead last. Who gives a F what any of these talking heads or two bit sports apps think. If any of them were any good at actually evaluating talent and team chemistry, they'd be working with actual sports clubs in an active capacity. I'm a diehard Vikings fan too and currently on cloud 9 after that miracle finish which feels all the more satisfying when everyone doubts your team and labels them as underdogs for an entire season.

Always easier to motivate a team when they need to prove something!

I definitely agree with what your saying. Teams play better when they are perceived to be the underdog.

But I just picture the Flames all rallying "TheScore ranked us 22nd! Let's prove 'em wrong boys!" Yeah!!!

Seconds before they hit the ice, "Coach I just got the HockeyNews rankings and we are 2nd"

"Oh, ok, we can take it easy tonight!"

CaptainCrunch's power rankings

1) TSN - They have Kate Beirness

2) Sportsnet - They suck up to the Oilers way too much, they employ idiots like Principe in shows not called, use our host as a skeet shooting target.

3) The Score - Just overall sucks, the only thing that keeps them from plummeting below Ed Warren's all star fishing channel is they carry wrestling

The only logical conclusion that can be derived from these power rankings is that The Score is probably just after the clicks.

However, they aren't some basement blogger. After some time of putting out incredibly poor information designed around being controversial and nothing more than click-baiting, they run the risk of becoming an afterthought. I personally no longer waste time on sites where I feel they are just being controversial for the sake of click-baiting, without offering some intelligent explanation or meaningful insight. These sites just kind of fall-off from the sites that I regularly visit. I rarely visit it now. Keep putting out trash, and I will never visit it at all.

Since the January 15th rankings came out, and the Oilers were 10th, the Oilers went 2-1-0. Accordingly they have fallen to 28th on the latest rankings. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/14...n-t-far-behind

The Score did not put the previous ranking for each team, likely so people would forget the other ranking.

Yep, they want all the clicks of a controversial social media bound list without the embarrassment of unexplainable jumps and falls from week to week shown side by side.

I honestly believe they decided to do it completely randomly this year and just see how long they can get away with it.

They are just pulling numbers out of a hat.
