The LA Kings have acquired Joonas Donskoi from the Ottawa Senators for Evgenii Dadonov.
Dadonov was not fitting into the lineup as we hoped, until last night when (on autolines) he went off for a hattrick and four points. That kind of rubbing salt into the wound is not the sort of influence we want on the Kings, and we now feel that this is addition through subtraction.
Donskoi leaves some offense on the table, but in return we get a stronger defensive presence on the wing.
The Senators will benefit from Dadonov's outstanding contract, but that advantage will play into next years season, and long term planning is not the strong suit of the Kings GM, so we are ignorantly happy on that front.

The Devils have 2 goalies that are playing like dog shirt. Demko has a 0.890 SV% and Driedger 0.881. We don’t have issues scoring but we are consistently losing 1 goal games and the goalies were the reason. Grubauer is one of the top rated goalies this season and hopefully he can solve our problem.
