Kilmchuk is closer to Jay Beagle than Steve Larmer. Larmer was a very effective offensive threat for years, top line, PP, a sniper. Kilimchuk isn't that type of player at all.
Glad to see him called up though. Hope he shows well.

Well yeah, but I think it was more play style. Won't razzle dazzle you but will always be right where you need him. Also heart. Lots of heart.

I think that guy was 6'-5". I guess the Flames still have to play Pittsburgh and that jerk Reaves yet.

Love lombergs drive and gumption but if he drops the gloves with Reaves he may as well just walk straight to the hospital first.

Wills said that he didn't come out for the optional skate on Thursday, so it looked like he got hurt in the Wednesday practice.

This is my first post after lurking for almost a decade. I watched Morgan play for the Pats for several years. He is a gamer. I hope he gets a fair shot because management will need as many young affordable 3rd line players in the coming years.

This is why you don't trade away depth players/prospects willy nilly.
You get bit by the injury bug and all of a sudden you are on your 5th or 6th callup. Treliving is a good Manager.

Really think that Klimchuk has the makings of a strong 200ft player and that he’d be a good fit on that line.

And we can still call it the 3M line!!
I love the Bennett - Jankowski - Tkachuk line too, but was worried about taking Tkachuk off 3M. Would be cool if you're right about Morgan

Coaches seem to want at least one game to get in the groove at practice before getting game action.
Would sure like to try him at left wing with Backlund-Frolik since he is a very responsible 200 foot player. But that is not going to happen this season. He will get a 4th line look in a single game at best.
Lomberg was hardest working Flame against Preds. Lazar also playing better. So not much room to crack lineup.

Excited to get a look at Klimmer, was wondering when he'd get a call-up.
Well deserved. Hope we get to see him draw in soon.

I imagine he'll get in for a few games. Looks like Brad is test driving or showcasing some guys before the trade deadline.

How comfortable would Tkachuk be on his off-wing? If it worked out this middle six would be nothing short of amazing. Hoping Klimchuk can get a shot and play reasonably well, as I think Tkachuk could be exactly what Bennett and Janko could use — a skilled, smart, gritty winger with finish.

Tkachuk has said he’s able to play on the right side.

Not disagreeing with your assessment here, but IIRC, Klimchuk has an absolutely lethal wrist shot. I remember Granlund had one, and then saw Klimchuk's, and kept thinking: "Well, at least the Flames have some snipes coming up through the pipeline".
Hopefully he gets into a few games and gets a chance to use it. Granlund wasn't quick enough to use it. Hopefully Klimchuk is.
