Vegas beats Chicago. I think we can stick a fork in them. 7 straight losses, 24-25-8. 12 points back of a playoff spot.

I knew Chicago wasn't going to be a powerhouse this year, but I can't say I saw them being this bad.

You gotta remember they had no Crawford for a while now. I'm sorry but your not going anywhere with goalies like Glass or Forsberg playing starter minutes down the stretch.

The hole is too big, and there's too many teams ahead of them. They can't finish third - Nashville and Winnipeg are locks IMO. So they have to climb past St. Louis, Dallas, Minnie and Colorado to get third place. Wild card - they have to climb past whatever of those teams don't place third, plus whichever of Calgary, SJ, LA and Anaheim don't finish two and three in the Pacific. That's five teams to overtake, and the closest one is 8 points away.

Games are now also starting to become an issue for trailing teams. If it takes you a 1/4 of your remaining games just to get even with the teams you are chasing without them playing a game, you are in trouble.
