I honestly don't think it affects his decision making at all really. He's looking to improve the team, but not just for the next couple months, more so for the next few years at least.

I don't think he's in the market for a rental. He's probably looking for some help up front, but is thinking long term so if it's a pending UFA like Kane, he will likely already have the groundwork for an extension in place before pulling the trigger.

Keep Bennett on the top line. The 3rd line could be a good crash and bang line with size. Lazar gets a couple vets to play with. Stajan and Shore sub in and out when needed. Hathaway is pretty much done

Considering the prices today, glad the Flames just stuck with the minor depth moves. Treliving seems to makes bigger moves around the draft, so would expect the same this year with the goal of bringing in a top 6 winger.

Also hope we get to see a bit more of Gillies down the stretch. Prior to Parsons he was the heir apparent, so would be nice to see what he's capable of at the NHL level before he's offered up as trade bait.
