Lot of football left but this is definitely not how I imagined this game would go. Honestly thought it would be a blowout for Alabama. Seems like Sunshine came to play.

37-16 after a Bama player cramps up and that allows an 80-yard TD for Clemson

Wonder if Hurts comes in for the rest of the game?

Well that would be something if Hurts came in and led them back. But this doesn't seem like last year where it was Alabama's offense that was holding them back. Just a shockingly bad performance from the Alabama D, Lawrence has played well but he also has had a lot of easy throws to make.

Four turnovers for Bama so far. They’re not doing themselves any favors.

Really? Tua hasn't looked good against good defenses at all. Lawrence has been great against all comers when healthy. Not much to give in other areas. Bama was favorites by reputation only.

In Vegas the line went from -6 to -4. Those guys won.

The total went from 60 to 57. Those guys lost in the first 5 minutes.

Number 8 for Clemson is pulling everything in one handed.

Second and goal from inside the 1 and they couldn't punch it in. I think mentally, Bama is crushed.

It's hard to imagine Clemson losing a game next year if they all stay healthy.

It's hard to imagine this isn't the national title game again next year either. Alabama has had a terrible night, but they still pretty much cruised through their year. Don't see who will be stepping up to stop either of these two getting back again.

Saban's worst CFB loss since 2001 and Bama's first 15+ loss since 2004, which was to....Saban and LSU. Just as thorough a beatdown as you can see, every phase was dominated by Clemson and Saban was badly outcoached. Alabama will be back, but you wonder if such an asskicking might be a mental block next year when they get to Clemson.

It was crazy.

Not only could they not punch it in but they ended up turning the ball over at the 9 due to the three straight losses.

Clemson just pushed them around and clearly the best team. They played two undefeated teams in the playoffs and won by a combined +55 (74-19...Wow)

I was way behind all game on the PVR, man what a beat down. Suddenly that Irish loss doesn't look so bad anymore

That was a masterful game plan on Clemson's part, especially on defence. Tua looked confused all night and could never get going. Bama scored a total of three points on their last four trips to the red zone - that is impressive.

I have been gaining respect for Dabo Swinney the past few seasons, listening to him each week on radio and his track record now what it is the guy is the real deal. He's now beat Alabama and Nick Saban 2 out of the past 3 national championship games and is nine years younger than Saban was when he won his second championship. I'm not a huge Bama fan but I do have grudging respect for Nick Saban - the guy knows how to get it done and doesn't get beat often let alone like they got beat last night.

Clemson looks real good and they aren't losing many of their offensive weapons next year - heck their QB and arguably best receiver are freshmen. I don't see how they aren't back next season. And Bama just reloads every year and now they will be motivated. I think we see both teams back at least in the final four again next season. That was Tua's first loss as a starting QB since something like grade nine.
