Difference would be $200-$300 for 10" $400-800 12" ish

Get this while its on sale - and as an added bonus, you get the matching stand for free.

For anyone looking for awesome shelving plans, I've made these in two garages now.

Absolutely love them. They are entirely wall mounted so you can store stuff underneath them (or park your car beneath them)

Ok, picked that up. Older guy in the parking lot told me I bought a good saw so thats good.

Now I need a drill as mine is old and crappy, I want something powerful enough but not overkill and something durable. What do you recommend.

This is a pretty good deal on now:

It's brushless, so the batteries last longer, and the drill has the good metal chuck. I got it in the fall. Batteries last forever.

Careful getting into the DeWalt comparison game, they make about 1800 different versions. All I can tell you is this is the one you probably want, though it's certainly not the cheapest option.

You gotta keep it all red now.

And if kits like those are too much for what you need, the smaller combo kits work great too.

Thanks, I went with the 12v Milwakee combo after watching some YouTube videos.

Ya, if you just need it for small jobs I do like those 12v options.

I put up my main LED lights last night, they are great. I went with 4x 40w, and I think it was the right decision, I think the 70w would have been blindingly bright. I still have the 3 hanging workbench lights to get installed, but even without them the work area is well lit.

So my garage project is back on track. It has to be completed by the beginning of July, we sold our other home and have to be out of it by then. So, I'm busy getting the final bit of wiring done before I start insulation, vapour barrier and drywall. I'm not looking forward to the drywalling, but I have a friend that is going to give me a hand, so hopefully it will go ok. I don't want to move anything into it until I'm completely finished.

I've wired my shop area for 6 fixtures, so, I'll probably only need the 40W ones. I put 3 of the fixtures above my work bench, so hopefully I won't need any extra hanging lights.

I am in the market for a mitre saw as well, I was leaning towards Ryobi. Anyone have one? I have their drills and grass trimmer and I really like their products.

6 40w should be good. And hey, if you change your mind on that drywall lift...just let me know!

Epoxy floor went much quicker than I thought, less than 3 hours. I'll do the top coat tomorrow, but this stuff looks great so far.
