^ How much is the price difference? If you are going to be using 2x6s for the deck the 10" will not cut all the way through (unless it slides as well) which can be annoying. I have an old 10" saw and I would say get a 12".
Difference would be $200-$300 for 10" $400-800 12" ish
It's brushless, so the batteries last longer, and the drill has the good metal chuck. I got it in the fall. Batteries last forever.
Careful getting into the DeWalt comparison game, they make about 1800 different versions. All I can tell you is this is the one you probably want, though it's certainly not the cheapest option.

I put up my main LED lights last night, they are great. I went with 4x 40w, and I think it was the right decision, I think the 70w would have been blindingly bright. I still have the 3 hanging workbench lights to get installed, but even without them the work area is well lit.
So my garage project is back on track. It has to be completed by the beginning of July, we sold our other home and have to be out of it by then. So, I'm busy getting the final bit of wiring done before I start insulation, vapour barrier and drywall. I'm not looking forward to the drywalling, but I have a friend that is going to give me a hand, so hopefully it will go ok. I don't want to move anything into it until I'm completely finished.

I've wired my shop area for 6 fixtures, so, I'll probably only need the 40W ones. I put 3 of the fixtures above my work bench, so hopefully I won't need any extra hanging lights.
I am in the market for a mitre saw as well, I was leaning towards Ryobi. Anyone have one? I have their drills and grass trimmer and I really like their products.
