By all outward appearances I was expecting that show to suck. It had nobody recognizable, its about Chess in the 1960s.

I figured: "Well....screw it. I'll give it a try."

Instantly hooked. We binged that bad boy in 2 days.

Years from now when there is a list of the best chess movies Queens Gambit wii have to top that list.

Great film.

Edit: My stupid mistake. It’s a series not a movie.

It’s a limited series, not a movie.

I didn't bother to watch Auqaman before it landed on Netflix, been burned enough by DCEU, didn't really need to pay for the torture, was happy to wait and subject myself to if for free. All I can say true to form, graphics: terrible, plot: weak, character development: why bother, acting: checked out, might as well have been Star Wars III or IX.

Dang. I was hoping you thought it was a movie and only watched the first episode and then stopped thinking it was finished. That would be way funnier.

Ok, The Queen’s Gambit is simply the best show Netflix has done. Damn.

True History of the Kelly Gang was a film. That's about all I can say about it, apart from wanting those 2 hours back.

I binged The Queen's Gambit and was impressed with the set and the simple but creative dialogue story. Really liked the cast and how they laid everything out. I hope they end it there because I can't imagine the series going beyond this. I still think Mindhunter has been the best series they've done (or Narcos).

I also watched Papillon today, and it's apparently from 2017. I'm shocked it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. I really enjoyed the based on a true story aspect of it all. 8/10 for that one for me.

Another +1 for Queen's Gambit.
I felt it lost a tiny bit as it went on, but the first several episodes were some of the best TV I have seen.
Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended.

We know. We all know.

If there was a weak element to that show, that was it. Just ignore it and move along.

I was surprised at how well it was done.

For a show my wife picked out, finally she got a good one.

I'm also working my way through Longmire, after having finished: Deadwood, SOA, Hell on Wheels since I've been working from home.
