Giordano's worst game
Jankowski can get familiar with the popcorn machine
Weird offside/onside call changes the momentum of the game (not mad at the call anymore, I am mad that there was a 5 second review of it)
Rittich let in a softy on Hamilton's goal
Power play lines need to be switched up
Never seen so many fanned passes/shot attempts in one game

Game should have turned in the first. Flames dominant at times, could have had 2 or 3 goals, came out with nothing. Canes came out better in the 2nd, capitalized on the onside/offside/PP fiasco, made it 2-0 and the Flames lost the wind out of their sails.
In a way it's going to be really interesting to see how this team bounces back after Ward's first loss in 8 games. I have a feeling we're going to see a fired up team looking for some redemption. Could end up being a great learning experience for the team.

Like I said in the GT this was one of those games where everything went wrong despite the effort. Well, that and the frog sleeps during the day. I thought Hamonic was terrible. With Brodie not making the gaffs he used to make it is a pretty easy decision to re-sign him and let Hamonic walk. What Hamonic brings value wise is a hard edged D man who blocks lots of shots. The shot blocking has been there at times this year but he has not been physical at all, quite the opposite actually. I wouldn't even be opposed to trading him now for an asset and letting Stone have his spot. Anyhow start another streak Tuesday.

Relative to last year for sure. I think MacKinnon owning him so badly all series last April destroyed his confidence. His foot speed is getting noticeably worse too.
