That'd describe most Oilers fans.

Still, I wouldn't shoot them unless they ventured out of their natural habitat. The Prime Directive, and all.

Yuck. If there's anything to be said for Canadian politics, it's thst at least they aren't American politics.

What kind of morons are answering these polls? They're not happy with a regular boring POTUS like Biden, so let's go with the narcissistic traitorous fascist who attempted a full-on coup and wants to end democracy?

Sure, that'll get America back on the right track.

Poll: Biden and Trump supporters sharply divided by the media they consume

Quote:
Supporters of President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are sharply divided across all sorts of lines, including the sources they rely on to get their news, new data from the NBC News poll shows.

Biden is the clear choice of voters who consume newspapers and national network news, while Trump does best among voters who don’t follow political news at all.
Quote:
The poll looked at various forms of traditional media (newspapers, national network news and cable news), as well as digital media (social media, digital websites and YouTube/Google). Among registered voters, 54% described themselves as primarily traditional news consumers, while 40% described themselves as primarily digital media consumers.

Biden holds an 11-point lead among traditional news consumers in a head-to-head presidential ballot test, with 52% support among that group to Trump’s 41%. But it’s basically a jump ball among digital media consumers, with Trump at 47% and Biden at 44%.

And Trump has a major lead among those who don’t follow political news — 53% back him, and 27% back Biden.

“It’s almost comic. If you’re one of the remaining Americans who say you read a newspaper to get news, you are voting for Biden by 49 points,” said Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who conducted the poll alongside Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt.

It's not hard to imagine Biden polling poorly with younger people given the situation with demonstrations over Israel. But is that just an indication of what they feel now vs. how they'll vote.

I mean it doesn't make much sense to vote for Trump if that's your issue, Trump would be worse from their perspective wouldn't he?

So it's hard to think the poll represents a true view of how younger people will vote, but it should still indicate a big problem since even if a lot of those people stay home rather than voting for Biden or Trump that could shift the election.

The people so adamantly bent on tearing apart the Democratic Party over Israel-Palestine are all but delivering the election to Trump and then the situation gets even worse if Trump is elected. They are fracturing their own party and their actions on campuses across the us are pushing voters away. Next level chess on this one.

Maybe the youth don't see it as "their own party" since it's actively facilitating a genocide?

I have a suspicion the media against Trump is pushing him leading polls to get the younger crowd that tends not to bother voting to get out and vote. The problem with polling in this election is the Republicans and their supporters are fudging the numbers to make it seem like Trump has a big lead so when he loses and he denies he lost he can point to those numbers while the Democrats are also fudging the numbers but for a tighter race yet still in favour of Trump so that anyone with a brain will get out and vote to keep Trump out of office again.

Exactly. I don't know a single person under 35 who has a landline or even answers calls on their cell from numbers they don't recognize. Unless they conducted these polls in person and they showed ID to prove they're in the 18-35 group, I'm highly suspicious of these results.

There is really nothing to base that suspicion on. Any research on this shows that people are influenced to vote for the candidate leading the polls. ie https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/insight...uence-behavior
