Really good cast! Tom Holland was great. A little gory in some parts for me but I enjoyed it.

I was at a camp at the time, in grade 5. None of his heard about it while we were at camp. When we all returned home days later, my parents made some odd comments about the shuttle that confused me. Finally I asked what they were talking about and they realized I didn't know what had happened.
Certainly the type of thing that wouldn't happen today (missing a piece of news for days because you were at camp)

You were at camp at the end of January? Was it a kidnapping situation? Punishment?

It was called Earthkeepers when I was in school. Is it no longer happening?

No idea...in my head it was Camp Yamnuska but not sure if that's right.
I went to Beddington Heights Elementary.

I’m watching Criminal UK season 2. The 7 minute monologue by kit Harrington at the start of episode 2 is well acted.

Yeah? We watched the first episode, thought "meh" and gave up. Worth re-visitng then?
Valhalla Murders is quite fun. Those Icelanders are weird people. Pretty good acting for a country with the population of Woodbine.

It's probably not for everyone, but I enjoyed the "procedural crime show" that takes place almost entirely in the interrogation room (and the other side of the 2 way mirror and hall I guess). It forces the show to survive on effective dialogue writing and strong acting. David Tennant, Hayley Atwell, Sharon Horgan, Kit Harrington, Kunal Nayyar all with some great extended emotionally charged monologues.
I also just got creeped out because you named Woodbine, which is my current community. Stalker.

I lived in Woodbine 1980-2013, with some brief interruptions.

Watched American Murder: The Family Next Door last night with the wife.
I remember this case after seeing the first few minutes, unbelievably sad but no spoilers.
Cant for the life of me comprehend people killing children, now after having a kid and #2 on the way it rattles me pretty bad. Just had a pit in my stomach all night, probably not the best thing to watch before bed.
Sad, just sad.

I didn't see the announcement but a new season of Last Chance U is up. Nothing can compare to the last two seasons with the insanity of Jason Brown.

Song Exploder is a great podcast and now it's a show on Netflix. They have a band explain how they created one of their iconic songs. Here's R.E.M. with "Losing My Religion".

Yeah this thing was gut wrenching and awful. I literally had like an emotional reaction to it. That poor family.
Also I turned to my wife and was like why did we just watch this? Like hey let’s feel horrible and watch a show!
