that was exhausting. Time for a beer.

I almost felt a bit sorry for Leicester, then Jonny Evans with the ankle breaker ... so they got what they deserved: a Jesse Lingard goal.

Yeah it doesn't get much more humiliating to finishing your end of season collapse than Lingardinho scoring. Also, De Bruyne is on another planet right now, after losing out on FWA POTY it's gonna be a complete travesty if he doesn't win PFA POTY.

Look at that! Man United setting new records!

Whatever Roy, 7 points back of safety with 4 games to go and Villa somehow stay up, you got to celebrate a bit for that escape.

Right, and I think thats fair. Villa were never going for the title so this is an accomplishment.

It'd be different if it was Tottenham for sneaking in to the Europa league or something, but staying in the EPL is a huge deal for clubs.

I enjoyed watching 'Sunderland til I Die' on Netflix and it really does an excellent job of showing how difficult and important it is not to get relegated.

the thing that really made this one so good was that they thought they'd monitor the club's promotion back to the PL and instead witnessed yet another relegation. Couldn't write it any better on purpose

Very true, but what I enjoyed was the human element of it.

When they got relegated again you just knew that they were going to have to fire that poor lady in the kitchen.

Is there season 3 coming or have they given up on Sunderland? The current owner has "resigned" and is looking to sell... Maybe a kindly Russian oligarch can restore the glory.

'Kindly Russian Oligarch'

Now theres a phrase you dont see too often.

On the plus side though, EPL Clubs are a wonderful money laundering tool.

Sounds like United has plundered Jimenez from Wolves.

Solid Ighalo replacement.

highly doubt it. Weird rumor, he'd be way too expensive and United should really strengthen in other areas. With Martial at front, Greenwood being able to play there and Ighalo being there until January, I really can't see them sign a striker ... hope they get Sancho over the line, and then they should rather look at midfielders and/or center backs.

Ake to MCI for 41M. He should really help them tighten up. Though Chelsea have the option to match, but apparently they are not interested.

Fortunately, many times you’ve challenged me to, turn up wrong.

Bagor, don’t you come in here and doubt me.

FA Cup to Arsenal, two dubious yellows on Kovacic equals 1 poor red.

Good to see Arsenal get some silverware after a rough rough season. At least Europa League is happening for them.

Though yeah, Kovacic didn't deserve to be sent off at all. Shoddy reffing on those calls.

Eddie Howe leaving Bournemouth makes me sad. 11 years as a player and then 11 years as a manager there, getting them from League Two all the way up to the PL and keeping them there for 5 years ... tremendous. He deserved a better ending there for sure.

I am fascinated by the fact that the hand ball controversy made it to "Malawi Breaking News!"
