Default Amazing Race Canada, Season 6 "Heroes Edition" -- Premieres July 3
CTV has announced the return of their summer hit, The Amazing Race Canada. This year's race has been subtitled the "Heroes Edition" and will feature 10 teams of "Canadian Heroes".

The show will premiere on July 3 and run through the summer.


As usual, if you want to participate in the CP-TARC pool, indicate your interest in this thread. The first 10 to sign-up will be in.

Okay, so there's our 10. Since it filled up so quickly, if people are still interested, we could possibly do a second pool if there's enough interest.


Since they've only announced half the teams so far, we can't start the draft just yet. Hopefully the rest will be announced tomorrow.

Once all 10 teams are announced, I'll throw the names in a blender and we can start the draft.

OMG, chewy and happy are so my team. C'mon first overall pick!

Pretty crazy mashup of teams. Members from the Navy & Air Force, Olympic Athletes, coaches regular folk. Should be a good race.

Hope there are more international legs this time. Last years seemed pretty light.

It looks like they're releasing interviews with the teams this week. Here's the first two, introducing six of the teams...






The final 4 interviews should go tomorrow.

I figured we can hold off on starting the draft until Monday so people can watch the interviews if they want (and any other interviews that might get released). Unless anyone has any objections. It's still a couple of weeks before the show begins, so we shouldn't have any problem getting it done in time.

4 teams from Alberta, 4 teams from Ontario, and 2 teams from BC. I guess there are no heroes in the any of the other provinces.

The Nurse/Firefighter team is from Calgary.
