been on a Be'lakor binge again lately. New album coming out in late 2018 or early 2019 ... can't wait. Melodic Death Metal doesn't get any better than this.
Sick album. I rocked that for like a month straight a long while ago.
More off of the new Thrice album. Only two songs out and I'm already in love with it. hot damn these guys just keep coming out with fantastic material since their reunion.
Palms is rock solid all the way through. This and Thrice's last one To beverywhere is to be Nowhere are renaissance pieces from a band I used to listen to 20 years ago as emo punk.
I didn't think that guitar picks thrown into the crowd could reach the 15th row in the stands but last night one did and I was lucky enough to find it before anyone else.
I guess after being pretty choked that they didn't play Spit Out The Bone after playing it 95% of the time the last year that was a way of making up for it.

yeah I like it a lot too. Completely different experience for me than the last one though, which had a few outstanding tracks (Black Honey, Hurricane, Whistleblower etc) but also some "fillers". This one to me doesn't really have any standout tracks, it's just a really good album from start to end.
Speaking of favourite bands, Madder Mortem just put out a new album. I'm not fully into it, but since I felt the same about the last two albums before they became my absolute favourites, I fully expect Marrow to be another slow cooking delicacy.
(If you ask me, they're by far the most under appreciated band in metal. Consistently excellent, from song to song and album to album. Not really like any other band, well worth the time it takes to get into them.)

I thought Baby-Metal was a niche thing out of Japan. Apparently not. Japan and their women are taking over metal and rock. This group kind of blew me away just now. Difference between these gals and Baby-Metal is the girls are actually playing the instruments. Well this is awesome.

I've tried to get into Band-Maid and I enjoy listening to their stuff, but it sits in the background for me. Babymetal though forces me to pay attention, the Kami band absolutely shreds and they don't stick to one style or genre. Plus they put on one hell of a live show, really hope I get to see them one day
