Ugh, I hope it doesn't become a whole bunch of "When you were on Big Brother, you did this..." and "When you were on Survivor, you did this..." BS.
I don't watch those shows for a reason.

There will be more teams added, probably Survivor duos to balance it out.
Having Jess and Cody on gave them a ratings boost on the most recent season, makes sense to do this.

Since that list of names means nothing to me without context, here's photos of the teams...
This is much better than the original rumour that the entire race was just going to be former Big Brother people.
It's nice to see they went far into their own past to get Colin & Christie. I believe they were invited to participate in the original All Star Race season but they were unable to do it because she was near the end of a pregnancy.
TAR #5 with Colin & Christie was the first Race I watched (also, the first and - so far - only time TAR has had a real leg in Canada, when they came to Calgary). It was shot almost 15 years ago. I wonder if time has mellowed Colin much? They were definitely one of the strongest teams to not win their Race. IIRC, at one point, they were more than a full day ahead of all the other teams, but a bunch of "Hours of Operation" and travel bottlenecks allowed the pack to catch up to them.
The show ultimately made some significant rule and structural changes after Colin & Christie's first season because of how strong they and the other final 3 teams were. They introduced the rule requiring each team member to do a minimum number of roadblocks during the race (Christie only did 1 the entire race) and they started to tweak the travel and schedules to ensure that no team can really pull ahead of the pack from leg to leg anymore.
"MY OX IS BROKEN!!!"

Well I will be cheering for Colin and Christie as classic TAR competitors. I wonder if they were one of the strongest teams though, if Colin did most of the tasks. I remember the ox comment and I think I didn't really like Colin that much originally, because he was a bit too intense. I can't remember much of Christie though. Was she a weak link or did they just choose the male competitor for a bunch of physical tasks?

Their race aired 14 years ago, and there have been 25 more Races (and 5 Canadian races) since then, so my memory is a little foggy, but I don't think she was particularly weak or anything. The rules at the time didn't require them to balance the road blocks, so they didn't.
The team that finished third were a couple of models, and the woman of that team was pretty useless, from what I remember, but I don't think Christie necessarily was.

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to remember. Was she weak or did it just make sense to have Colin do them all since that's the way things were set up?
Right now, they are the team I'll cheer for, unless they give me a reason not to.
