Costco has an order page now. It's the disc version with Spiderman Ultimate, 2nd controller and Astro's Playroom pre-loaded. I got ~$17 cash back with executive membership.
Looks like I have an extra Series X pre-order. Microsoft.com shows me as having one pre-ordered. The cart failed/timed out on final check out and I never got a notification...but was checking my order history today and there it is.

Meh. That’s like one or two extra games. They’re both undersized given the size of games nowadays. Should be like 2TB min if you want to keep a good selection of games downloaded.

That gives Xbox Series X 140 more GB's of useable SSD space.
These are large allotments for the OS. The quick resume feature must be a big reason for it. It would be nice if they made quick resume optional if you prefer the extra SSD space instead.

Right up until some hapless user who turned it off decides one day to try and turn it on and the system tells them to delete a bunch of their games in order to do so, which likely results in lots of angryface "Wtf quick resume doesn't work" whining.
It's easier to protect users from themselves sometimes.

They could have put 2TB SSD's in but then the consoles would have been+$200 more and would not have gone will with the consumers.
If you play warzone, that game will take up more than 20% of your SSD space on a PS5.
Also looks like Microsoft I and Xbox is allowing consumers to install only parts of games to keep installs down in size. Ie, you can download the whole game and I've complete delete the campaign and keep the multiplayer, and vice versa.

I highly doubt that will be unique to Microsoft..both systems will likely allow you to install certain aspects. They already do on a few current gen games.

Yeah it isn't a console exclusive thing. Microsoft is working with developers to get them to modularize their games more. Trying to get as many to have that feature as possible.

Sure but that’s not the point.
The article was about Xbox having a larger HD. That’s irrelevant evasive they’re so small already compared to the size of games.
