Volume is going to clog things up, of course, but I didn't think that the roads were that bad, all things considered.

You must have been just behind me, when I left there was only one (exiting SB Stoney onto Nose Hill) and it must have just happened as. Nothing else at that time. The roads in the north and west were generally good but Glenmore was surprisingly icy through the construction area.

Feeling extremely fortunate to not have to start work until noon today. Had to drive across the city which I was worried about on my crappy summer tires, but it was actually totally fine. Roads wet but no ice, it was a breeze.
...though I can't say the same for actually having to dig out my car before I left home..took almost as long as the drive itself!

The issues I saw overnight (and expect to again tonight) were around 9pm to 3am. Very slick road conditions as the wet from the day froze into ice. Even had to close a chunk of Deerfoot/Stoney down for a bit to give time to get some road maintenance trucks there.

Looks like we are meant to be hit with snow again tomorrow. This time the cold temps may make it a bit dicier on the roads. No bueno.

Hmm a Special Weather Statement. I guess I won't be surprised if it turns into a Snowfall Warning tonight.

I wouldn't bother. Sounds like it is a bit of a snow job.

I was in a parking lot admiring how nice of an evening it was. Literally two minutes later a gust of wind almost knocked me over and the temperature dropped probably 5 degrees. Pretty sweet...if winter wasn’t forever.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
City of Calgary
Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 25 cm is expected.
A southward moving cold front will initially produce mixed precipitation in the form of rain and snow along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and within the Mountain Parks, but should quickly transition over to snow. Snowfall amounts will be highly variable, with areas at higher elevations possibly seeing upwards of 25 cm by the time the snow comes to an end Tuesday evening. For areas just east of the foothills, including the City of Calgary, snowfall totals will be around 10 cm.
