Bombardier continues to divest itself from once core products, CSeries of course went to Airbus (now the A220 line), the Dash 8 line (Q400) went to Longview Aviation Captial, and now Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is in negotiations to acquire the CRJ program.

Was fantastic to see DTD fly again - I've been a daily viewer since day 1, so a great conclusion to the story.

This diverted here last night due to a medical. The passenger was more worried about her jeans that were in the overhead bin than anything else, so presumably she is fine this morning.

Not sure if it already arrived or not, but an F-18 is supposed to be at the Sunwest hangar for some air cadet tours at around 4:30.

Behold, the inspiration for Trump Force One.

I prefer something a little more original myself:

Wow...graphics have improved a hair since the first versions. That's incredible. Kinda makes me want to go to ME and buy all the flight controllers they have an totally nerd out on this.

The whole plane should just be a bald eagle with the engine nacelles painted like hellfire missiles.

So are they changing the colors of the US Air Force, or are they just painting the Air Force's VIP transport planes in national colors and not Air Force colors?

For now they're not doing anything and if he loses the election it's likely scrapped.

For what it's worth, I don't dislike the new paint despite my hatred of Trump. I just see no reason to actually change it.

Expect this one in the WestJet magazine or a poster or something.

Paris Air Show going on right now, Airbus has been cleaning up on new orders but a 200 bird 737 MAX order was just announced by IAG (International Airlines Group). They had also announced an order of 14 Airbus 321XLR birds.

Air Canada to buy Transat for $13 a share

Quote:
The company that owns Air Transat has agreed to be taken over by Air Canada for $13 a share.

The two companies announced in May they had entered negotiations toward a possible deal, and gave themselves 30 days to hammer out the details.

That period expired on Wednesday, and on Thursday morning they announced a deal that would see Air Canada buy Transat A.T. Inc. for $13 per share, which values the company at $520 million.
So will this make Aeroplan any better?

Air Canada flight from Vancouver to Sydney (AUS) hit some clear air turbulence near Hawaii, with 37 injured. Just another reminder to always wear your seatbelt no matter how smooth the flight seems.

Anyone know why Korean Air 9234 came out of Calgary today? Boeing 747-8 flew over my house this morning. I'm far enough south that the planes don't make much noise but I think this one woke me up so I had to check what it was.
