Any other Calgarians notice a significant decline in seeing Rider paraphernalia on our city streets? I have since the Riders have been struggling this season.

This is good. Saskatchewan is no good.

The title of this has never been more appropriate than it is today...Saskatchewan really is no good at all.

They're lucky the Bombers have fallen off the way they have, otherwise missing the playoffs would be a real possibility.

I'm pretty sure management would prefer they miss then have to spend the money travelling to a butt whooping in Calgary.

Interesting year in the CFL. The Riders 9 wins have been 5 against Winnipeg and Ottawa (and one of those in OT) - the two worst teams in the league. They have 4 wins against the rest of the CFL combined to go along with 6 losses.

Also, the Riders have lost or are losing the season series against every team in the CFL not from Winnipeg or Ottawa (again, the 2 worst teams in the league).

Already lost the season series to all of Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal and BC. Are losing the season series to both Calgary and Edmonton with games left to play against each of them.

Their 9-6 record is smoke and mirrors. They are also -31 in the points for/against metric. No other team with a +.500 record is on the negative side of the points for/against comparison. Considering they have 2 games left against the Esks - who are actually playing some pretty good ball right now - and 1 game left against the class of the league Stamps, it is quite possible they end up at 9-9 and crossing over to lose the East semi-final.

^very possible they finish 9-9, and miss the crossover the way the easts 3 teams have been playing lately
edit: nevermind montreal and Toronto play twice so they have to split, each at 9 losses. Hamilton has to lose to Toronto for Toronto to have 9 wins, and Hamilton plays montreal so unfortunately one team will have only 8 wins and miss

Honestly I doubt it'll even come to that. To get to McMahon in November, they'd have to get through Commonwealth first (or the East Division playoffs instead). At this point it appears the only visit the Riders will be making to Calgary this season will be on October 24th.

You know....things are good in the sports world. Stamps are doing good. The Flames are making progress but best of all The Riders suck and the Oilers are worse than suck. I'm so happy.

I would ask rider fans why they think Darian not being in is what the problem is. This team was dead last in passing with him. I think it's straight forward what happened. The Riders benefited from feasting on my lousy Bombers and teams figured out their Riders one dimensional offence. Load the box and take away the run. That's it. That won't change with Durant.

Tis true, Durant would make the Riders more competitive then they have been, but there is more problems with this club than that. I question the coaching, especially a lot of their offensive play calling.

hahaha!! I knew it!! I even joked about it on another thread when I made my pick. Too bad for the Riders that one of RB can't play QB. I heard Troy Smith is available.

Don't forget ever since the pass interference call is challengeable, Getzlaf's play especially suffered. They are not getting the PI call in their favour as much as ref are not calling all of the close ones to avoid embarrassment. Before all Durant has to do is throw the ball deep to Getzlaf, Dressler, Bagg then those guys threw their hands out and ref buys it in.

Saskatchewan is no good.
