What it was is typical of their season. Does anyone outside of a few very unrealistically deluded Rider fans think that Riders team is remotely close in talent, skill, coaching or heart to the Stamps? What happened this week is what has happened multiple times this season, including against the Stamps:

1. A good team is up for the game against the worst team in the league, comes out hard and lays the boots to them in the first quarter/half.

2. Good team gets a big lead because, frankly, the Riders are a joke in all facets of the game and their HC is a moron.

3. Good team lets off the gas and starts to coast because it is like playing a bunch of toddlers and it gets boring punching the toddler in the face and taking their candy play after play after play.

4. Crappy joke-of-a-franchise Rider team puts up some meaningless points against a team that isn't really trying, giving delusional Rider fans hope.

5. Good team wakes back up enough to win the game, sometimes by a significant amount, sometimes barely.

6. Rider fans (and goofball idiot coach) cry that they were robbed by the refs, by bad luck, by gremlins, "if only that penalty wasn't a penalty", "if only they had called some random infraction", "if only we were allowed to play with 13 players instead of 12", etc....

7. Moronic joke of the league play-by-play idiot spouts off conspiracy theories about the league being out to get the Riders due to some perceived slight(?) or maybe because of prejudice against rectangle provinces(?) or because Jones is an a-hole(probably?).

8. Idiot Rider fans lap it up like stray dogs that found a half full container of sour milk.

Rinse and repeat.

This team is not close to anything, except being a punchline.

I actually have the Riders winning this week, just to see if they finally do.

As a Stamps fan living in Saskatoon, seeing Rider pride slowly dwindle here over the course of a couple of seasons has been really satisfying.

I think the construction schedule for new Mosaic Stadium is hilarious. Ready in September 2016, but they won't play a game in there until next season.

That's gotta suck for players and fans playing and watching in an absolute dump knowing there's a state of the art, modern stadium just sitting empty for the sole reason that moving season ticket holders mid-season wouldn't work.

You'd think they would have contemplated giving season ticket holders a split rate renewal for this season - First games at old stadium price, second games at new stadium price in newly assigned seat - Just to be able to utilize a brand new stadium ready this early.

Even Rhett Warrener knows a loser and when to jump ship.

Looks bad on the province too. A lot of public money went into building that stadium.

Fitting that perhaps the worst fake punt in CFL history pretty much ended the Riders' hopes today.

Mitchell released...

“After talking with Khalif we mutually agreed to part ways,” stated Roughriders General Manager and Head Coach, Chris Jones. “After sitting out for over a year we both agreed it would be difficult for Khalif to get physically ready to play in a professional football game at this point in the season.

I am waiting for someone to blast about telling people they shouldn't call Jays "sacks of sh**" but calling Jones a dink is OK.
So I'll proactively defend that. The difference is Jones is a dink. He really is.

Jones must have at least 20 linemen in houses around Regina ahead of Mitchell.

I laughed when I read the part about mutual agreement that this is the best. It was Jones backtracking on a horrible signing. Mitchell wanted to play.

I'm sure Mitchell is thrilled to go back to bouncing at titty bars in El Paso

Lol...

@arielle_zerr:
I watched Khalif Mitchell work with the conditioning coaches at practice. He was struggling through sprints... say 10 to 20 yards long.
