Laurent Brossoit loses in overtime giving up 4 goals on 31 shots in his season debut with the Oil Kings against Red Deer. Turner Elson does not play.

First post updated to reflect most recent players assigned to Abbotsford.
Also, some of the players in the WHL are already wearing letters for their respective clubs:
Ferland -A
Holland -A
Leach - A
Elson -A
Might have to assume that Reinhart and Baertschi will also wear letters this season.

I wouldn't doubt it. Especially with Nino and Johannson leaving juniors. I would assume Baertschi would get an A.
Kind of surprised me to see Ferland and Leach with A's.

Max Reinhart should be in the line-up tonight when Kootenay plays Lethbridge.
Utah's season starts on October 7th, while the Heat begin play on the same night. Expect some roster movement in early October, when the Flames shuffle guys down to Abbotsford and the Heat shuffle guys down to the ECHL.

and
Sven FRICKIN Baertschi!!!!
Has anything started yet?
edit: Why yes, the WHL is well underway. And Sam Reinhart already has 2 goals. Max's younger brother, not eligible until 2014. Apparently the whispers are first overall already. If the rebuild goes as planned...

I think it would be so cool to have all three Reinhart brothers on the Flames. Unfortunately I don't think Sam or Griffin are going to be attainable for the Flames come draft day, unless the Flames absolutely blow it this year and in 2014.
Griffin and Sam will likely both be top 10 picks. I guess Feaster could always trade up.

I doubt it. If Bob McKenzie's top 10 prospect list is any indication Griffin won't go in the top 10.
Who knows, maybe the Reinharts can be the Staals of the Western conference .
Anyways, tonight Brossoit had a 20 save shutout against Prince Albert. Ferland had an assist.

Make that 30 saves in a 4-1 win, and a goal and an assist for Ferland.
