Default Israeli fighter jets shoot down drone

Russian drone?

Quote:
Israeli ground systems detected the drone, which flew over the Gaza Strip but did not originate there, Saturday morning, Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich said. They alerted the air force, which scrambled the jets to intercept the aircraft. She said Israel was still trying to determine the drone's point if origin.

Iran does have drones, and its known that they supply their proxy Hezbollah with weapons.

Why would Russia fly a drone over Israel that can be that easily seen?

This is probably retaliation for Israel flying their own drone over Southern Lebanon just 2 days ago.

I'm tempted to post a picture of a horrified/confused, early-career Hugh Laurie, but I'm not sure anyone would get the reference enough to make it worth my effort.
Ah, screw it.

Sickening that the drone was launched or sickening that it was shot down?

Either way, I'm not sure I'd describe this event as sickening, but to each their own.
