Wonder if this will affect the narrative that China puts out regarding Xi's meeting in Moscow next week? Will they be cementing their relationship, will China ignore or discredit the ICC?
Nothing will happen, but it's important that it was said and the warrant issued.
This is not a both sides, many sides situation. This is one evil regime invading a peaceful neighboring country trying to steal their land and deport or destroy their people.

Without this war they might have never been a member, pretty ingrained corruption too. This will likely be the impetus for them making the necessary systematic changes, and there have been demonstrations of this already with the dismissal of generals. One can only hope that when this is over Zelensky sees what could be his eternal legacy and moves on quickly rather than sticking around too long. His presidency didn't have a good start, but he clearly stepped up when it mattered most. Trying to stay in power too long could lead to a backslide.
Probably won't see Putin at the G20 summit in September in India, he'll likely send Lavrov again. Can't imagine India would allow him to be arrested but he probably wouldn't get a great reception.
I'm directly saying that you're skirting around a question, and it's not the first time.
You may be directly saying I'm skirting the question, but you sure aren't asking a direct question. If it's "what do I want to say", I've been saying it. Perhaps it's not what you want me to want to say? Sorry, not sure how I can help you.
This part does seem accurate from posting history I have seen
Have you considered the possibility that I post a lot about issues related to China because I have a lot of life, research, and professional experience related to the country and feel that is where I have a perspective worth sharing in discussions?
There are lots of topics that I read here but I don't post on just because I don't have much of a knowledge base in them.
Personally, I kind of like to hear from people who have an informed perspective that I don't have, like hearing from CaptainCrunch sharing knowledge on military stuff that I don't know about, or MrCoffee sharing info on context in SA that I don't know about.
It's unfortunate that we're in the political climate we're in, where pretty silly narratives are contributing to statements like "your country sucks" having to be challenged.

But you do what you do I guess.
Yeah, sure....

In fact, it's China that has successfully been slowly decoupling from the US and not the other way around. The west will likely always need Chinese goods.
FSB border patrol building in Rostov, Russia, close to the Ukrainian southern border of Ukraine, catches on fire and kills one, injuries two. FSB blames spontaneous combustion of lubricants in the building workshop. ye olde smoking accident strikes again.

Knowing Russia, their industries probably don't have stringent safety codes and it wouldn't actually shock me if all these explosions were just accidents lol.
In their ranks are murderers, thieves and a self-declared “Satanist.” Several are in hospital recovering from wounds sustained in the fighting. Reuters managed to make contact with 11 of these men. Five agreed to be interviewed by phone and messaging app. What follows is the most detailed insider account yet of Wagner's convict army: the fighters’ recruitment and training, the combat they saw in Ukraine, and their uncertain future in a Russia turned upside down by war with its neighbour.
Reuters posted an interesting article about the life a a few Wagner conscripts before, during and after their time "served". Some interesting tidbits and images for sure and worth the read. Also learned that Wagner has giant nice looking office building in SPB.
