Thumbs down Slumping Flames owned by Lightning, 6-3 (L)

One thing I liked about Gulutzan - he made us win in Tampa twice!

1-3-1 in the last 5. Not good enough. Hopefully that's a slump buster like the beatdown by the Pens was

Flames are in a bit of a slump(as all teams go through), but I don't think they've been that bad. They've had games recently where they deserved to win or at least get a point in, where the opposite happened in games just before the break, when they won but didn't really deserve it.
Flames deserved to win against the canucks, no doubt about it. Played well against the sharks, deserved at least a point imo, but were done in by a minute and a half stretch of not so good goaltending and Jones shutting the door like Markstrom. Just missed out on a point because of a penalty in the last minute of the 3rd in the Caps game as well, where they played pretty well too(iirc)...

Bad game tonight though, against the best team in the league. Maybe this game is a wakeup call like the Pens game.
We're gonna be ok. Maybe the goaltending still gives me some uneasiness though.

I'd like to see BT add another scoring forward, a depth defenseman who is solid in the Dzone and can play a rough kind of game, and also look at another goaltender.

Best part was Donald McDonald winning the score and win contest.

Please be on CP. What a man.

Pretty backbreaking goal to make it 4-2. I’m not an expert like most on this forum but that looked soft as butter.

Take the lesson that was just given, understand what it takes to become and sustain being the best, and move on with the rest of the season.

Now go and kick Florida's ass.

That's not redeeming when he lost to the Oilers like 7 times before joining them himself.

Why do I feel that this month is gonna be a little off for the team then in March we're gonna go into beast-mode?

Blegh game save a few players. Flames PP worked, Turnovers cost the Flames dearly.

Kylington, Bennett, Lindholm, Hamonic were all positives for me tonight.

Goats....well you could start a list. But at the very tippy top of that list begins with Chuckles, Backlund and Frolik (Derelik my ba***!)

Not that much of that loss can be placed on Rittich’s shoulders but it would be a huge relief to see the 2.50/.920 Rittich return. Also I think 3M needs to be altered.
