Ahhh, gotcha.
It always bugged me when the Wild had different patterns for their home/away jerseys though. Something... unfinished... about it.

Black c is the worst part. Like others have said, it's retro or bust. That said, knowing King and co. the majority of fans will be shafted yet again. I just can't comprehend how difficult it can be to make a correct jersey. The fans speak and I think majority want retro full time. I truly believe if they don't go retro full time within the next 2 years, King and company really don't give 2 ####s of what the fans think or want.

Can't believe they didn't use this opportunity to get rid of the flags.

I didn't realize we had those damn flags for so long!

I interpret that removing the flags would be considered a "minor tweak".

That's because we haven't (although, almost as long). Alberta's Centennial was in 2005 but the flags were put on with the Edge redesign to start the 2007-08 season.
It is crazy that the current style is the second-longest serving Flames uniform design after the originals.
The pedestals were introduced in 1994-95 and replaced in 2000-01 (7 seasons). The horse heads were introduced as a third jersey in 1998-99 and became the full time jerseys (along with the new matching whites) in 2000-01. The red version of the horse head cut came in 2003-04. They were replaced by the Edge cut in 2007-08, meaning they only lasted 6 seasons as the full time jersey style.
10 years is more than enough.

Kind of surprised the Caps aren't doing something different.
Apparently the oil are switching to navy blue, not a fan of that.

With the lockout, even less time on the ice than that.

I included the lockout in my count.
2000-01 to 2006-07 = 7 years or 6 seasons with the lockout factored in.

Ah, I figured that count was for the red with the black C, not all the jerseys with that cut. The pedestal and the horseheads overlap and the three jerseys in that style were only used together in one season (2003-04) as far as I know. Makes it a bit awkward to count.

I didn't see anywhere that they weren't getting rid of the flags. Was something else posted/linked?

Oh my god. These are ####ing incredible. Great work man. They should copy these exactly and you get royalties.

With all the great concepts Scary Eloranta has made in this thread, it'll be even more awful when Ken King trots out the new surely-awful threads.
