That seems like an amazing contract for a guy who scored 42 goals last year. Even if he's only a 20 goal guy as he is this year, that's still a good deal. Damn.

This is a deal for a veteran guy who just wants to stay in Minnesota. Staal wouldn't waive as he didn't want to go, and it seems he really wants to stick around signing that bargain deal
