OK I have a fun story about Francis.



About 6 years ago, the company I worked for decided to have a function where we took the entire employee base to a Flames game. A raffle was held to see who would go on the Zamboni during intermission. My name was pulled and I was (of course) over joyed. I figured since I was a full grown ass man I would never get such an experience.

So intermission comes and I clamber up on the shotgun seat and am given the "stay seated, wave and ham it up" speech. We start out and the second zamboni blows it's radiator and dumps fluid all over the ice. SO not only did I get a zamboni ride, but I got a double long one!! And man did I ham it up. People in the crowd were laughing and cheering for me. What an insane rush that was.
Now as we drive off the ice surface I catch Roger and Francis standing at the edge about to do the next period intro. I climb down off the zamboni and say Hi to Roger (who we had done interviews with at Schank's about 4 months prior.). He says hi back and Francis goes "What, no Hi for me?"
I reply, "Nope." and walked away with narry another word. The look of pure dejected rejection on his face has kept me warm in the coldest of temperatures since

I think probably the impact of this board or any single fan (like ######### or whatever that idiot's name is) is probably over-stated. However, it isn't unreasonable to think that fan sentiment would be a consideration and that this board would be some way to get a sense of it.

But let's face it- if this board had the power to get people fired, there would have been more of that happening. And with Loubo there was just as many people who loved him as disliked him.

So I don't fully buy into it.
