That's huge news, I hope he's not stepping into the ring though on more then a very part time basis. I would imagine they're throwing a whole briefcase full of money at him.
Sounds like he's not going to be doing very much ringwork at all. Mostly commentating and backstage stuff.
I think he can be a good mentor for some of the other big guys there such as Wardlow and Lance Archer, and hopefully he puts some of them over as well. I actually think Wardlow has potential, but he's still super green and his entrance music is terrible.

Yeah, Tony should spring for Slayer's "War Ensemble" for Wardlow if he's going to have a 'metal' song.

AEW's themes need a lot of help. Hardly any are catchy, and the ones that are good are written by other people than AEW's team (Jericho, Cody, Omega, Mox).
I think a good grab would be a working partnership with CFO$. That dude put together some badass tracks for NXT talent and I would love to see him ply his trade in AEW.
Writing this now makes me want to Tweet Tony Khan and remind him to step up his game for theme songs.

The themes are egregiously bad. Cody's sucks now too with the Snoop rap over top of it.
Oh I'm not crapping all over it, and to be clear I'm not referring to the "downfall" side of WCW. Most of those names were part of the golden age of WCW, and so they have a dearth of experience competing on primetime TV. I also forgot to include they have a working relationship with DDP as well.
Big Show is going to bring some much needed star power to that show - as well as credibility.
I'd be concerned if they were hiring Lash Leroux, 3 Count, or Disco Inferno - but so far so good
They’ve seemed to use legends properly and done promos in a thoughtful manner. Only thing that sucks is they tend to put these moments out on social media first to get eyes on it, but seeing Sting show up out of the blue was huge. He can provide a way to bring up the young big men they have (Archer, Wardlow, etc.) and like you’re saying, some star power. This came out of nowhere which is pretty interesting.
