Every report on Ruzicka seems to be the same - good raw talent but his Give a sh** meter seems to be broken.
And it doesn't seem like he's figuring that out.

I thought that last year at the spring camp games he was obviously one of the more skilled players. The AHL will be his wake up call. At this point he is probably used to being one of the best despite is effort. At the AHL, without effort he will be a fourth liner. It will be very interesting to see what becomes of his first pro year.

There will be tons of intriguing guys to watch at the AHL level this year, much more than last year I think

- Pospisil
- Ruzicka
- Philp
- Tuulola
- Kirkland
- Yelesin
- Zagidulin?

I'm curious to see what all of these guys can do next season, and how they adjust. I have the highest hopes for Tuulola and Pospisil. I don't expect much of Ruzicka -- he frustrates me more often than not whenever I watch him -- but I'd love to be surprised.

I also look forward to watching Phillips and Gawdin progress. I think both of them could see NHL games this year if they get lucky/play their cards right.

Miller - 0.85 PPG - 2018 Round 1 : 22 Overall
Pettersen - 0.75 PPG - 2018 Round 6: 167 overall
Drury - 0.75 PPG - 2018 Round 2: 42 Overall
Iskhakov - 0.66 PPG - 2018 Round 2: 43 Overall
McLaughlin - 0.57 PPG - 2018 Round 3: 79 Overall
Koumontzis - 0.57 PPG - 2018 Round 4: 108 Overall
Wahlstrom - 0.53 PPG - 2018 Round 1: 11 Overall

Pretty much have two guys that put up similar production to guys taken in the top 50.
Interesting. Treliving, Button, et al. can pick 1st-3rd round talents in the 4th-6th rounds. Love it!

Here's a few goalie pics I shot from the camp. The Zag one is my fav. Parsons is a close 2nd.

Sort of like Johnny lite. Never thought I'd write that sentence meaning both figuratively and literally.
Honestly we need skill on the RW in our top 6 badly.

In pre-season I'd like to see the young guys given a shot in top 6 roles.

Mangiapane, Dube, Phillips, should all be given ice time with Monahan, Gaudreau, Lindholm, Backlund, Tkachuk and see how they react to playing with our top talented NHLers.

Incoming uneducated thoughts here but watching Emilio Pettersen's point totals next year should be fun. 2019 Philly 2nd rounder Bobby Brink is going Denver this fall. A right shot playing winger, Brink and Pettersen could mesh well if they form any kind of chemistry.

Would love to see Pettersen's goal total take a significant jump in 2019-2020.
