The Wild will move Cam Ward, who is I think the 37th ranked goalie but makes 9.99M.
As such I am prepared to cover a portion or all of his salary, depending on the deal.
He is not under contract beyond next season, so after that, so there is no long-term contract risk.

That means you'd be paying him 2.5M to be your backup this year.
Otherwise I will probably release him and free up 1.5M inn cap space. But if someone wants him for nothing - and it gives me an additional 1M in cap space over the buyout - I'll do that instead.
