Default Building a new Computer

I saw a few videos on you tube walking you through building a new computer so I went out and bought 90% of the parts and now that they are here not too sure I trust myself to not wreck something.

Someone at work told me I could take my stuff to a place like memory express and they'll build it for me.

Any experience with memory express or like establishments?

Thanks

I had ME connect by motherboard and processor, and then I put the rest of the pieces together. It was not too complicated! I had only positive experiences with them.

Just having one built my memoryexpress. Would rather they complete the build and load the OS and drivers, then have myself do it.

I'm sure memory express would do a good job with it, but it is pretty satisfying to do yourself. I had never done it before, but ended up doing it myself a month ago for the first time. I just followed some solid videos online, and even found one using the same case I bought.

It's a little nerve wracking when you are slotting in the CPU and stuff, but was pretty easy overall. If you're not feeling too confident after watching some how-to videos though, memory express is the way to go I'd imagine.

yeah i'd DIY yourself. just have a laptop or another computer so you can look up any issues and follow videos easier. if you bought the cpu and motherboard through ME they'll put it together those two for you for free.

just remember to de-static yourself every so often by touching the case body.

If your are skipping the static wristband, just maintain contact with the case the entire time. I usually just put one elbow there and don't move it.

Also get them to deal with the cpu mounting and thermal paste at memex.
