2013 Steam Holiday Sale (Dec 19 - Jan 3)

Made the mistake of buying a few games for my kids' new computer using my Steam account - now only 1 of our computers can be logged into that Steam account at a time, which is the most ridiculous thing ever and of course you can't transfer game ownership.

I signed up for the Family Sharing Beta thing in hopes it would work, but all it is is a game filter.

I heard Steam got hit with a DDOS along with Origin.

If they are not games that need to be online to play you can have one computer on offline mode playing while you log the other one on with same account.

I grabbed Kerbal Space Program on sale the other day. Its really fun and addicting. I can launch into orbit and re-land using parachutes right now. Next will be a moon landing attempt.

I assumed you'd still be able to buy/sell cards after the sale ended. Hell, you can still buy trading cards from the summer event. I think I was 3 shy of getting another set before I decided to sell them yesterday. Glad I did.

I was trying to craft a badge for the hell of it last night when Steam went down. Now they are all gone from my inventory.

The Summer Sale cards were before Valve came up with the idea to make them expire... presumably to give crafting some urgency. Now mine are gone too. Oh well.

If you're playing a game that doesn't require online access you turn on offline mode.
