Is there any places with topless waitresses anymore?

Too much competition? [Tilted Kilt on 17th closed in January]

http://www.macleans.ca/economy/busin...-breastaurant/

If you’ve not yet heard of “breastaurants,” gird yourself: they’re about to roll out across Canada. And this new generation of mammary-centric casual dining chains—with their slick thematic formats, man-cave mentality and hyper-friendly female servers schooled in “touchology”—makes Hooters seem downright quaint.

Over the past decade, the “breastaurant” has emerged as the second-fastest growing sector in the casual dining industry behind upscale burgers

“Breastaurant” customers are 80 per cent male, range in age from 21 to 35, and are not necessarily single

The fact that Hooters allowed its brand to wither provided an opportunity, says Tristano, as did the availability of locations with good lease rates due to the economic downturn. Hooters, a US$1-billion juggernaut with 455 locations (11 in Canada), has become as dated as its servers’ suntan-coloured pantyhose and orange nylon shorts. Sales declined more than 7.5 per cent last year. Over a dozen locations have closed and its CEO recently jumped ship to Twin Peaks.

As someone who's been on business lunches, I can say that while you can't take clients to Hooters, you can take them to Shark Club or Cactus Club Cafe, where the servers are attractive young ladies wearing very little, and it's acceptable when submitting expenses.

Urban Spoon says the one on 17th Ave SW closed down too, the Tilted Kilt. No demand for "breastaurant" in Calgary?

Havn't been to Hooters in years, but when I went the food was horrible.

Do people actually pick restaurants based on what the service staff wear?

I went to Shark Club in the northeast once and was pretty floored at how attractive the servers were. Maybe it was just a good day.

Also, Hooters sucked. I think I've been in one twice.

Earl's is usually a good bet. Some of them even have mirrors on the ceiling so it is easy to look down cleavage.

Cactus Club in the NE, Earl's on 130th Ave SE and Joey's Chinook or Eau Claire have the hottest waitresses.

One of the waitresses at Shark Club was a friend with benefits of mine last summer. Fun times. She's not as good looking as you probably expect from her working there though.

They would have stuck around longer if their food wasn't crap.

I work near the one on Macleod, went once at a friends request and ordered nachos. Expected at least standard pub type nachos and what I got was a plate of chips with cheese sauce drizzled over it. CHEESE SAUCE. The same crap they have at 7/11.

Don't imagine there will be many people sad to see this place go.

Well, maybe the father who brought his two young daughters for lunch there might be.

Wait, my niece worked at the Shark Club last summer. I'm putting on my earmuffs.

I don't think she had any family outside of her grandparents in Calgary.

So you're probably fine

May I have some more cream for my coffee?

Each to their own, but I can only imagine the clientele. Old lonely men and young adults too busy giggling and staring to eat.
