I agree that your $35 price might be hard to achieve but not impossible. It is the low season. I found this Koh Phagnan hotel on agoda.com

for roughly your dates without looking very hard at all. $35 USD all in and solid rating of 9.3. I am sure you could do better if you spent more time at it than the 1 minute I spent.

Just an update. I booked everything last night online, from the Scuba diving, to the hotels to the internal flights and ferry. I haven't booked the Bangkok hotel yet though. With my luck I woke up this morning to being told of marshal law in place . Goddamn my luck.

Seriously, don't waste your time transporting Shampoo/Conditioner across the world. There's a 24 hour convenience store every 5 feet in Thailand. I usually don't bring more than 3 pairs of clothes and just buy new stuff over there anyways.
