I mean especially after it took a fluke bounce right to him. Couldn't be more Arsenal than that, get a very lucky break and then #### the bed with it.

just glad United got to avoid Wolves for now. There's about 1000 things I'd rather do than watch that lot for another 2 games this season.

super happy for LASK, they completely deserve this draw ... they've been outstanding this season. They would have lost against most teams in this round anyway, so at least they get a chance to play at OT in the floodlights which should be a memorable occasion. United should take them seriously though, they press really well and make you work for 90 minutes. Not going to be a stroll in the park but with a focused effort United shouldn't have too many problems.

crazy scenes during Hoffenheim-Bayern today. A small portion of Bayern fans enrolled posters with insults towards Hoffenheim owner Dietmar Hopp (a billionaire who has pushed them and who has been the subject of fan abuse for years), forcing the game to be temporarily suspended. The teams eventually came back out and did this for the remaining 14 minutes. Absolutely loved it.

Why do you love this, but not a fan of the Rb Leipzig/Salzburg financially backed clubs?

I don't like Hoffenheim more or less than RB. I simply loved the reaction by the clubs. Ultras have had way too much influence and power in Germany over the last couple of years and it's about time they are shown the middle finger. A few idiots shouldn't have the right to ruin a game of football for everybody, so I loved the reaction of the clubs by quietly mocking them for a few minutes.

he's invested heavily and basically bought them into the BL. They were a very small club before that (it's a town of 35,000 people, after all), but he is from the area and wanted them to become big. It's not all that different from RB Leipzig, they both tried to find loopholes in the regulations in order to grow quickly. In Germany, you can't just do a Man City and pump unlimited resources into a club ... in Germany, there's "50+1", which tries to avoid sugar daddies taking over clubs. Very basically the rule says that investors can't have a majority vote. Leipzig and Hoffenheim have circumvented this, for example Leipzig only have 7 official members (which were all installed by RB, obviously).

so he quickly became an enemy for fans who saw tradition and values betrayed by those investors, which is understandable. However, a lot of the criticism has simply been in very poor taste. Dortmund started that years ago with crosshairs-banners:

that's kind of been a staple over the years and Hopp has tried to fight back. He's gone to court, trying to defend himself and recently also got the league to ban Dortmund fans from a couple of away games at Hoffenheim. That has led to an escalation among BL fans and banners like those can be seen frequently right now. Today's the first time that a game was temporarily suspended because of that, so we'll see how things will be handled in the future.

Wonder what will happen with Euro Cup at this point.

Still a couple months away...but they will have to make the call at some point. Have to think that at the very least the Italy games get moved out of Rome

still no idea what Daniel Levy was thinking when he gave Mourinho that contract. Baffling then, baffling now.

Usually with Mourinho you at least get the bus, but Spurs defense has been pretty poor his whole time. Gonna be fascinating to see how the summer goes for them.
