I'm very happy to hear that this all worked out. I will PM Locke to arrange payment. There's nothing I would rather do than make Petr uncomfortable.  He'll get over it, and I'm sure he'll look back on it as a wonderful experience.

I recommend contacting the Flames, they may be able to help arrange something during one of the games if you explain what CP is doing (e.g. gift package, meet/greet, etc.) Worth a try, and the worst they'll do is say the can't help or say no!

This was an absolutely moving and inspirational story. For those of us who live in Calgary, we are blessed by the fact that we get to be exposed to the flames every day and to see them at any time. If I was in a better financial situation, I'd be happy to help.
Calgaryboy, I'm so happy you will get to see your idol, and thank you for all the awesome Czech articles about the flames. Enjoy your time here in the city and taking in the games where your hero finally gets to play for your favorite team. This is the best thread I have read in a while.

I am not sure how easy or difficult it is to ask Jagr to make a personal appearance in one of the many CP gatherings that I am sure will happen during the week Petr is in town. It would be super awesome!

But maybe Calgaryboy would like to try some local Calgary craft beer, I'd be happy to make up a custom mix pack to gift to him!

I have contacted two different people and received no response.
Granted, thats fair, I'm asking for favours so if they dont want to they're more than justified in not responding, but if anyone knows people in higher (or lower, free pocket dawgs arent nothin!) places than I do all help is graciously accepted.
