What the heck. Been watching hockey and basketball when it was 10-1. Check score app and see its 17-1.

Man of all the games for me to miss! Maybe I’ll stop tuning in more regularly.

12 different Jays went to bat.

Every one of them got at least 1 hit.

Were the Rays just playing position players because they were already down 9 and didn't want to bother using their bullpen when it was basically a guaranteed loss?

Vladdy 3-6 with 6 RBI's. Feels good man.

Had to step away for the last few innings. Didn't even realize the Jays were teeing off on a position player. Maybe that will give them some confidence?

Yup, pretty much. 10-1 entering the eighth.

This is a 9 PITCH (not at bat) run during that 9th inning:

single, ball, single, single, ball, home run, single, home run, double.

7 hits, 9 pitches total in that stretch.

Just need position players to start on the mound the next few games and they're set.
Good start by Berrios and starting pitching again, is the story for the Jays.

I had to scratch my eyes to look at the score again, haha. The expense of being a fair weather fan.

I turned the game on in the 7th, but wasn't actually watching closely until the 9th, and was so so so confused.

Hahah, the optimist in me wants to think that the Jays will build some offensive confidence and start to turn things around.
I'm afraid the reality will be that the Rays come out pissed off for the next two and run us out of the park.

The more I watch this Jays team, the more I think they're the Flames of MLB.

Okay. Now this needs to be a major building block that they can really accelerate off of. They just took the best team in baseball out back and shot them with no remorse. It can't be a one off. This line up needs to turn around and just start murdering teams.

My eternal optimism says that this was due. They've been getting tons of walks/hits/baserunners over the last couple of series, but the sequences to cash in those runners just weren't happening. How many stats did we see recently of 1/10 RISP and such. If you're getting 10+ hits in a game eventually they're going to score a whole lot of runs as was the case last night.
