When's the last time the Twins won a playoff game??

Haha

Enter....the Jays to break that streak.

EDIT: 18 years and 18 playoff games without a win in that time

This was the best case scenario after not playing to our potential. We really need to win this series to gain any momentum. I think we have the pitching to make noise, just need our bats to heat up at the right time.

Jays have a better record than the Twins.
Jays have a better winning percentage vs AL East and vs AL Central.
3-3 in games against.

I like the Twins matchup simply because there hasn't been a recent history of them getting in our heads. Tampa has that. It's definitely going to 3 games if I were to guess. I don't have confidence to call it but I have my fingers crossed.

Not having to play inside a prison is a good thing

I like the matchup, but the matchup feels like a secondary concern. I think the biggest determining factor in this series will be whether the team can just show up in important games.
We backed into the playoffs and we've been pretty bad at performing when it matters, so I'm a little skeptical.

Can anyone explain the difference between regular season and post season rosters for me? The only information I can find is you get a 26 man roster I believe. What's the reasoning for wanting teams to have smaller rosters? Just curious how it all works.

There's only really a difference in September when the active rosters get bigger. In the past, that expansion was up to 40 players which allowed teams to play a lot of younger players or have more depth depending on their play-off contention status. However, the current rules now only allow an expansion to 28 players for September.

In the past and current rules, the active roster size for the play-offs always reverted back to the April-August limit (used to be 25, currently 26).

Okay thanks for the feedback was just curious what the best way to build your roster for the playoffs then would be. Have 4 starters or maybe even just 3 then have stour most reliable bench players I suppose

I get that games at the same time = less TV ratings. But daytime games on a weekday are so very stupid.

Rosters are series by series so for the wildcard series they only need three starters. They may add another one just in case one of the three gets pulled early or injured and then the rest would be their top relievers.

It's a strange schedule where they have tried to spread out the games but still have a lot of overlap. I get the tradition with afternoon games but wish they put them all in the evenings starting like 2 hours apart.

Go Jays! Planning on watching all three games at 0730 local time with coffee and donuts.

Welp, I miss the whole series due to being at work, lol. Gotta love MLB playoff scheduling. Hopefully they make it past this series so those of us at work can watch playoff baseball this season.
