Head office should be in the refs ears on any major calls that would swing the game. It’s that simple. Take a minute and get it right.

The non hot take view is that this was clearly a quiet point of emphasis for the league with the refs coming into this year. As is tradition they’ve gone over the top and around week 7 or 8 they’ll find a dumb happy medium. Just gotta hope your team doesn’t lose a game because of it while the refs are figuring it out

I mean this is the Aaron Rodgers rule for when he got a season ender when Anthony Barr drove him into the ground and broke his collarbone. It's been going on for a few years now. The bigger issue for me is they should be using New York to overrule these calls, it's pretty clear from one replay it shouldn't be a penalty. Take the 20-30 seconds and get the call right.
