Going for the Memorial Cup with Poirier and Francis after a WJC stint. Seems like the right move, don't think he was ready for the AHL yet.

Pretty pedestrian number for Francis. Figured he would steam roll junior hockey this year. Of course I am not watching the games, just stat lines. Still expect way more production from him as a 20 year old.

Beck’s been out for a long time. Any clues as to why?

It's so hard to find out info about injuries in the CHL-I've been to the bowels of the internet looking for this info. I just emailed the 67's, so hopefully they will get back to me...

EDIT: I just read a comment from the coach, who said that Beck is week-to-week, nothing on what his injury is.

Dec 5th:

67's lose 5-1 to Kingston without Beck, and a few other key players.

Kerins with 3a,+1, in a 7-2 win over Saginaw. 23gp/13g/26a/39pts,+2, 10 PIM. He is tied with Matvei Petrov (EDM,2021) for third in scoring.

Acadie-Bathurst beats Cape Breton 11-2, Huckins did not play.

Whynot had no points, +1 in a 3-2 loss to Quebec. 23gp/2g/10a/12pts,-1, 30 PIM. He is tied for 24th in D scoring. Interestingly enough, D Evan Nause, who I likened heavily to Whynot before their draft, has a stat line of 22gp/2g/10a/12pts,-3, 4 PIM. Nause was taken the round before Whynot, in the 2nd-56th overall by Florida.

Saint John loses 2-1 to Victoriaville. Francis had no points,+1. 14gp/6g/9a/15pts,+2, 10 PIM.

Poirier had 1a,+1. 26gp/7g/20a/27pts,+7, 20 PIM, good for 3rd in D scoring. Poirier's +7 is 5th on the Sea Dogs.

With Poirier's goal on Nov.30th, he became the all-time leader for goals by a defenseman in Sea Dogs franchise history!

Dec.10th:

67's lose 5-1 to Oshawa, still no Beck. 2-7-1 in their last 10.

Greyhounds game was postponed, no Kerins tonight.

Acadie-Bathurst wins 5-0, no Huckins.

Ciona was third star in a 6-1 win over Kamloops, with 1g,1a,+4. 22gp/4g/8a/12pts,+5, 42 PIM.

Good news! Cole Jordan is back playing with the Warriors! They lose 4-1 to the Broncos tonight, and CJ is held off the scoresheet. No points in 3 games. Hoping he can rebound from all the time off, as I think he's a pretty exciting prospect.

Just noticed that Rory Kerins' stats from his D+2 year in the CHL are remarkably similar to those of Peyton Krebs-the "Future Superstar" that Buffalo so greatly coveted in the Eichel trade.

Krebs (2020-21): 24gp/13g/30a/43pts
Kerins (2021-22): 24gp/13g/29a/42pts

They are also both 5'11", and play C. Means nothing, just interesting...

One distinction, Kerins has a great hard shot and Krebs has a muffin.

IMO Buffalo overrated Krebs in that trade
