Bell thing offer or something

I thought I'd throw it in here. I had a older Samsung Galaxy. I went shopping for gifts and walked into Bell just to look around. I was happy with my phone and all.

But they let me exchange my phone for a Google Pixel 2 and a LTE tablet at 0 dollars, and my dataplan increased to 10 GB for a total increase of $5 a month.

To me it was a pretty solid deal to upgrade my phone for a way better phone and a tablet for a way better tablet.

Just thought I'd throw it out there.

What's your plan total amount a month, and where was the bell store?

South Center. My plan fee went from a total of 90 per month to 95 per month but I got boosted to the 10GB for the next w years.

You do have to sign a two year contract, but it seemed worth it.

They were running low on the tablets when I left, but the one I got was the ZTE and its very nice.

Its also at all the bell stores, I phoned a friend of mine and he went to Sunridge and got the same deal.

My understanding is every company as of Thursday is currently offering a 10GB data plan with unlimited talk and text with the exception of TELUS for $60

Only catch is you need to bring your own unlocked device. (Not a huge deal to a lot of people)

I wanted to compare a contract vs non contract to see what was a better deal. So thanks CC for sharing.

Looks like Captian is paying $35 mo premium over an unlocked pixel 2 owner. ($60 mo + $35 mo. = $95 mo total)

So he is paying $840 over 2 years at which point Bell has to unlock. The pixel is currently retailing for $849.

So looks like he gets an interest free loan on a phone (and even saves $9)

Overall verdict is this is a sensational deal. May need to reconsider an unlocked phone next time.

EDIT: Forgot to mention he can sell the phone in 2 years for even more savings (~$250) makes this a sick deal

No, it makes it a break even deal with bringing your own phone. + on the $60/10Gb deal with Koodo, that is 10GB forever, as in until you change your plan. Bell offer is 10GB for 2 years, at which time you drop down to 5GB.

edit: He also gets a free tablet, which has some value if you were needing a tablet. Overall I think koodo's deal and BYOD is a better deal.
